At age 18

At age 50

I have been a long distance telephone operator, Mother, artist, poet, chore worker and nursing assistant. I have seven children, two marriages and divorces, and eleven grandchildren.

I like to cook and eat but my tastes are weird and not everyone likes my bland cooking; so I serve Tabasco sauce, mustard and pepper on the side. I have also knitted, crocheted, made clothing for my children, embroidered and recently have taken up needle tatting. I inherited my Mother's cake decorating supplies and made the wedding cakes for my children.

I like to read Science Fiction and Mysteries. Am a fan of Dr. Who, Diagnosis Murder, Murder She Wrote, Keeping Up Appearances and the English Mystery series we get on Public TV.

I have been healthy most of my life. Have had tonsils and adenoids, and cataracts removed and developed osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. So, I am sidelined now and am enjoying being the audience and seeing all the exciting things you all are doing.
